Unions invited to talks at strike-hit Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Trust
Unison and Unite members at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Trust, which runs Pinderfields, Pontefract and Dewsbury Hospitals, went on strike in a row over plans to cut pay and jobs.
Mid Yorkshire is making the cuts to reduce its pay bill as it faces a £26m deficit at the end of the year.

Mid Yorkshire said it had invited the unions to a meeting later in the week.
Stephen Eames, the trust’s interim chief executive, said: “The trust hopes that the unions will engage in constructive discussions to recognise and support the need for the trust to make these workforce changes and wherever possible to mitigate the individual impact upon staff.”
