New wheelchair for Mirfield teen
Mary Hinde, 17, has cerebral palsy and currently has to be pushed around in her manual chair by family and friends.
But after a fundraising campaign succeeded in gathering £16,000, Mary finally has the money to get the chair she has been dreaming of.

Mary’s Wish has been raising money for the new wheelchair through events including raffles, sponsored runs and obstacle courses, and will continue fundraising for other things Mary needs.
Earlier this month, a group of 11 ladies from the Flatt Top pub took part in a 12-mile sponsored walk, raising £2,800.
Regulars at the pub also donated gifts, which were used as prizes in a raffle.

Sarah said: “The new chair will give Mary more independence. It means she will be able to go where she wants to go rather than being pushed around. I just want to thank everyone who has helped with the fundraising.”
