Heckmondwike man killed in Batley stabbing officially named by police

The Homicide and Major Enquiry Team can confirm the name of the victim of a fatal stabbing on Park Croft, Batley on Sunday as Bradley Stuart Gledhill (20) from Heckmondwike.
Enquiries into the murder remain ongoing and police continue to appeal for witnesses.

The Homicide and Major Enquiry Team would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident which took place just before 10.30pm at Park Croft, Batley on Sunday June 21.
Officers have carried out a number of enquiries today and neighbourhood policing teams will be increasing patrols in and around Park Croft and surrounding areas.
Police were called at about 10.28pm to reports of an altercation on Park Croft involving a group of people.

Hide AdMr Gledhill from Heckmondwike suffered a stab injury during the incident, after which other persons involved fled the scene.
Emergency services attended and Mr Gledhill was taken to hospital but later died.
A 19-year-old man Batley man was arrested on suspicion of murder this morning in connection with the incident and a 31-year-old man from Heckmondwike has been arrested on suspicion of affray.
